PROJECT

                                                          SCRATCH

Gowri: As we have learned so many blocks and features of Scratch in class 3.
Let’s make a project now using “pen” extension.

Aryan: Yes, I have learnt so many blocks in class 3 and I
liked the Scratch software very much. But what is this
“Pen” extension? I haven’t learnt this till now.

Gowri: Yes, dear Aryan. In this project we will learn this also. We will
make a project using this “pen” extension and other blocks of scratch
                      learnt so far.

Aryan: Ok dear Gowri, please tell me, what is this “Pen” extension? Also
tell me how to use this extension.
Gowri: Sure! Sure! Let’s understand this now: -

                 10.1 ADD EXTENSION” PEN

Click on “Add extension” icon in the left
bottom side of Scratch window, to add the
extension in Scratch project. Then choose
“pen” option from “Choose an Extension” window

(shown in Fig. 10.1). Then all the blocks related
to “pen” will be automatically added in block
                 pallete. (shown in Fig. 10.2)

                                                                                             Fig. 10.1

This “pen” extension has following blocks and all these are

                                          “stack” blocks: -

                                          10.1.1 “pen down” block

This block is used to draw the figures or mark the pen on stage
with the movement of mouse pointer or sprite.
