6.1 SCRATCH INTRODUCTION
Gowri: You are looking fresh this morning. Is there anything special, dear Aryan?
Aryan: Yes, dear, as we had mass PT during assembly, this refreshes me a lot. We
had to follow the instructions as given by the PT teacher for PT. I wish I could also
give instructions and someone follows it.
Gowri: Instructions?? Yesterday our computer teacher also told us that we can
give instructions to the computer.
Aryan: Does the computer also understand instructions? How do you give
instructions to the computer?
Gowri: Yes, the computer understands the instructions. One such application is Scratch where
we can give instructions in the form of blocks. We can make videos, stories and games through
it. Let me show you how it looks.
6.2 HOW DOES IT LOOK AND HOW TO OPEN IT?
is the Scratch icon on desktop, or we can open it also by double clicking on
it. Website http://scratch.mit.edu/, is used to work online in Scratch.
Scratch is developed in MIT Media Lab.
