8.1.4 “set color effect to…” block

This block is used to set the color of sprite to a specific color code.

8.1.5 “clear graphic effects” block
This block is used to clear the color effects applied before.

Activity 8.1

Add a sprite of your own choice and increase its size by 10 and also change its

color by clicking on the sprite itself.
Ans:

Step 1: Add a sprite Butterfly (from “animal” tab) in the
scratch and remove the sprite “cat” (already
added).

Step 2: Click on the “Event” block, and drag the block

“when this sprite clicked” in the script area. Fig. 8.1
Step 3: In “Looks” block we will drag the “change size by 10” block and join this
block with the previous block added in step 2. This will increase the

size of the sprite by 10.
Step 4: In “Looks” block we will drag “change color effect by…” and join the

block with above blocks. This will change the color of the butterfly
every time by 25 values.

Step 5: This will change the size and color of butterflies every time we click
on a sprite.
