Activity 8.2

1. Add the sprite in your Project. And change their color effects and its size

after every 1 seconds, “when we click on flag”.
2. Write the script for showing cat walk with different sizes. (Hint: change

the costume and sizes of cat.)
3. Add any number of sprites of your own choice.

Aryan: Oh wow! So many colours, but the background of the stage doesn’t look very
interesting. I wish there were trees in the pictures, and butterflies flying over the leaves or
trees. I wish I could do it also in the scratch, then it will be more interesting and joyful.
Gowri: Yes, dear! In scratch it is also possible to change the background. It is also possible
that a sprite can fly randomly in scratch.
Aryan: Oh wow! That’s very interesting. I want to learn this also. Please tell me the steps to do
it.
Gowri: Yes, Let’s start with choosing and changing the backgrounds first. Then
after that we will learn how a sprite can fly. So, steps to choose a background
are: -

8.2 CHOOSING THE BACKGROUND

Step 1: Click on the “Choose a Backdrop”
icon on the bottom right side of the

Scratch window. Following window
(Choose a Backdrop) will be appeared
(Fig. 8.2):

Step 2: Total nine tabs are appearing in this
window like (All, Fantasy, Music etc.)
which are having so many backgrounds. Fig. 8.2

Choose the background from the list given in Fig. 8.2, example:- Choose
Baseball 2 as background. Stage will be appeared as shown in (Fig. 8.3):
