1. Add a sprite in your project from “music” tab. And play sounds and also it

changes their sound pitch effects after every 1 seconds, when we click on
Flag.
2. Write the script for showing a birthday party scene with different sounds
and dance movements. (Hint: change the costume and sounds of sprites.)

Aryan: Wow! I can create stories now with sounds also, But please tell me could sprites speak
also in my story.

Gowri: Yes! Dear Aryan, It’s possible with an Extension in Scratch named “Text to Speech”,
which is not already added, you have to add it by your own in Scratch.

Aryan: Ok, please help me to add this extension in my project.

3.2 ADDING AN EXTENSION— “TEXT TO SPEECH”-
Gowri: Sure Aryan! I will tell you, no problem. It’s very simple dear. See the steps:-

Step 1: Click on the “Add Extension” icon on the left bottom corner of the
Scratch window.

Then a window named “Choose an Extension” appears as shown in Fig.(3.2)

Step 2: Choose “Text to Speech” extension, marked in Fig.(3.2).
