5.6.1 Using New option

Gowri opens new file in the same way as was in Writer using.:
1. Select File -> New-> Presentation or 2. Click on new icon or 3. Press Ctrl + N

5.6.2 Using Template

Madam: Well, done Gowri. Do you remember Template?

Gowri: Yes, we create documents in writer with the help of template.
Can we use the same way here and create new file using template?
Aryan: Yes, See whenever we go for a new file in impress a template
window appears as shown in fig 5.6. Choose the desired template and
start working.

Activity 5.3

Find out applications in which saving, creating a new file, closing of file and
application is same as in Impress.

5.7 SLIDE LAYOUT

This is new concept to be introduced to the students. Hence, teacher
assigned a task to students to perform on new file opened in front of them.
All the students have to

make two slides, one to type
a paragraph about their last day routine.
Second slide to prepare two lists on same
page for fruits and vegetables

Students started typing paragraph on the
first slide. And successfully completed first
Fig. 5.8 slide. But while trying for 2nd they found it

difficult to prepare two list on same page as gap between two points was not up to mark.
