2.1.1 Toolbars
As you can see, there are various toolbars on the spreadsheet. We can add or remove
additional toolbars as needed, such as the Drawing toolbar, Text formatting toolbar,
etc.

2.1.2 Formula bar
The Formula bar is marked in Fig. 2.2. It has a name box to its left where name of the
active cell is displayed. For naming a cell we put first column name/header then row
number/header. In the given image cell G5 is selected, meaning G column and 5th row.
The formula is written in the Formula bar. The formula always starts with ‘=’ sign.

We can enter various formulas here, such as for addition, multiplication, etc. For
example, in cell G5, I have written =E5*F5, meaning the value of E5 will be multiplied
by F5 to give total cost. The benefit of using cell reference is that when we change
the value in a cell, the result is automatically updated.
