Charles Babbage is known as the father of the computer. Because all these features
                         are found in today’s computers.
                         TABULATING MACHINE: In 1890, an American engineer named Herman Hollerith
                     Ø
                         invented a tabulating machine. It was used in the census of the USA. After the
                         success of this machine, his company later became well known as IBM.
                        MARK-1: In 1944, Prof. Howard Aiken invented the first
                     Ø
                         electro-mechanical computer, known as the MARK-1.

                         ENIAC:  ENIAC  was  the  first  successful  Electronic

                         digital  computer, built by John Mauchly  and  John
                         Presper Eckert in 1946.
