Step 2: Click Fuzzy select or Select by colour tool from the Tools panel on the left and
select the background colour to select it.
Step 3: Click on Edit -> Clear.
Step 4: Now you can see image with a transparent background, if you want to add
a solid colour, select the Bucket Fill tool and select the colour from colour
palette. Then click on the background of the image to fill it with the new
colour.
