Pakistan’s digital economy illustrates this vividly: Food delivery apps such as Foodpanda
coordinate riders via GPS; fintech startups like Sadapay manage e-money through cloud-hosted
ledgers; and EdTech platforms such as Taleemabad broadcast curriculum-aligned lessons over
           smartphones.

Advantages of digital entrepreneurship are as follows:

Global reach and 24/7 availability: Digital businesses can access customers worldwide without
geographical constraints, offering products and services anytime, day or night, increasing convenience
           and sales opportunities.

Low marginal cost: Once the digital infrastructure is set up, serving additional customers—such as
the millionth user—incurs minimal extra cost, allowing for efficient scaling and higher profit margins.

Rich data for personalised offerings and rapid product iteration: Digital platforms collect detailed
user data that enables businesses to tailor experiences, customise marketing, and quickly improve
products based on customer feedback and behaviour analytics.

Challenges of digital entrepreneurship are as follows:

Intense competition: The low barriers to entry mean many copycat apps and services can quickly
flood the market, making it hard to differentiate and retain customers.

Reliance on third party platforms (app stores, payment gateways): Digital businesses often
depend on platforms such as app stores, payment gateways, or cloud providers, which can impose
fees, restrictions, or sudden policy changes that affect operations.

Cyber security threats and evolving compliance: Digital entrepreneurs face constant risks from
hacking, data breaches, and cyber fraud.

Some examples of digital entrepreneurs are shown in the following table:
