Monitor
A monitor, also called a screen, is the most common output device. You
see pictures, games and cartoons on a monitor’s screen. You can also see
alphabets, numbers, and words on a monitor’s screen. It shows what the
computer is doing for you. It shows pictures and information using tiny dots
called pixels, which are arranged in rows and columns. A pixel is the smallest Monitor
part of an image on the screen.
CPU
The Central Processing Unit (CPU), also called the
processor, is the computer’s brain and is responsible for
carrying out all the processing in the computer system. A
CPU is often fabricated as a semiconductor chip, called
Integrated Circuit (IC). The CPU controls the entire data flow
and instructions inside the computer.
Mouse CPU Box/Cabinet CPU
A mouse is a pointing device that helps control the movement on the screen. When
you move the mouse, the pointer on the screen also moves in the same direction.
Mouse The mouse uses a small roller or laser to detect this movement. Clicking the mouse
also sends input to the computer, which is then processed by the CPU.
Keyboard
A keyboard is the most commonly used input device. Most of the keys have
a symbol printed on them. When a user presses a key, it is conveyed to the
system. Keys are often used in a combination. A keyboard also has several
special keys, each having a designated purpose, such as function, direction,

Besides the main parts, a computer also has other parts like speakers, printer, microphone, headphones,
joystick, projector, etc.
