In Windows, the user doesn’t need to remember all the commands but needs to recognise the graphical
representation of the application on the screen in order to use them. Windows 10 has a GUI which
means you do not have to remember all the commands. It allows you to run several programs at the

macOS

Developed by Apple Inc., exclusively for their Macintosh
computers and Mac Books. macOS is a Unix-based
operating system known for its user-friendly interface,
stability, security features (such as Gatekeeper and
FileVault), and seamless integration with other Apple
devices and services.

Linux

Linux is a popular operating system that comes in various distributions. Linux
operating system is similar to Windows operating system with some exceptional
features that make it a useful and flexible operating system. Linux operating
system comes in open source i.e., its source code is freely available.
Significant feature of Linux is that it is quite reliable and if a bug occurs, one can
easily contact the open-source community and resolve the problem. It is the
backbone of many major computing centers around the world.

Android

Developed by Google, primarily for touchscreen mobile devices such as smartphones
and tablets. Android is based on the Linux kernel and is open-source. It is highly
customisable, supports a vast array of apps through the Google Play Store, and
integrates deeply with Google services like Gmail, Maps, and Drive. Android 15 is the
latest version of Android OS.

DOS

DOS is a kind of Character User Interface (CUI) operating
system in which the user sends commands and instructions
to the computer in character form, i.e., by typing commands
at the command prompt. The screen display does not
contain any graphics or pictures.
