Taskbar

        A long bar at the bottom of the desktop is called the taskbar. It helps to manage various currently
        active programs, opened in different windows.

        Start Button

        It is known as the gateway to Windows and its programs. It opens the Start menu, when we click
        on it.

        Start Menu
        To search for an application, open the Start menu. An alphabetical list of all the applications installed
        on the computer appears.

        Notification Area

        The Notification Area is located at the right side of the Taskbar. It shows different types of notifications
        for your computer such as, your Internet connection, or the volume level.


             FUNCTIONS OF FILES & FOLDERS


        All the data stored on your computer’s hard disk consists of files and folders. Files are used to store
        data, and folders are used to store and organise files and other folders.

        A file is a document that contains the collection of related information. Basically it is used
        to store the data. The file in a computer can be a text document, spreadsheet, picture,
        music or even movie. It is represented by an icon.


                    A folder is like a file cabinet in which you can keep your files. Folders are used to store and
                    organise files and other subfolders. A folder within a folder is called a subfolder.

        Creating a New File

        The most common way to create a new file is by using a program. But you can also create a file without
