DIGITAL ETHICS
Digital ethics means using the internet and technology in a kind, honest, and safe way. It includes being
polite online, not sharing fake news, and respecting others’ privacy. We should never bully anyone or
use bad language. If we use someone else’s work, we must give them credit. Being a good digital citizen
means doing the right things online.
IMPORTANCE OF BEING SAFE, RESPONSIBLE, AND RESPECTFUL ONLINE
When we use the internet, it's important to behave in a way that keeps us and others safe and happy.
Here’s how we can do that:
Be Safe Online
Don’t share personal information (like your name, address, or passwords).
Avoid talking to strangers online.
Don’t click on unknown links or pop-ups.
Tell a trusted adult if something online bothers you.
Be Responsible Online
Use the internet for good things like learning and creativity.
Don’t copy or steal someone else’s work.
Take breaks – don’t spend too much time online.
Follow the rules of websites, apps, and games.
Be Respectful Online
Speak kindly and politely in chats and comments.
Don’t hurt others with mean words or bullying.
Respect others’ privacy and personal space online.
Give credit when you use someone else’s photo, video, or writing.
