They send information to the system for processing and control. Here are some common input devices:
Mouse
A mouse is a small device that you move on a flat surface to control the cursor (the
arrow) on the screen. It usually has two buttons: a left button for clicking and a right
button for additional options. There’s also a scroll wheel in the middle to move up or
down through pages or long documents. It helps you navigate through websites,
games, and documents easily.
Keyboard
A keyboard is used to type letters, numbers, and special characters.
It has many keys, including letters, numbers, and function keys. With
a keyboard, you can type messages, write documents, and even give
commands to the computer. It is one of the most important input devices.
Scanner
A scanner is used to take physical documents like pictures or papers and
turn them into digital files that can be stored on the computer. It works by
scanning the image or document and creating a digital copy. This helps in
saving space and allows you to share the documents easily.
Webcam
A webcam is a small camera attached to your computer or built into the computer’s

family. You can use it for things like video conferencing or sharing live video online.

Monitor
A monitor is a screen that displays the information from your computer. It shows
what you're working on, such as text, pictures, videos, and games. The monitor

on the computer. Monitors come in different sizes and quality levels, such as HD
