REQUIREMENTS FOR CONNECTING TO THE INTERNET

A computer requires the following things to connect to the
Internet:

Modem: The modem stands for modulator-demodulator.

Telephone Connection: A telephone connection acts as a

medium to transfer data from one computer to another.

Internet Connection: An Internet connection is
provided by many Internet Service Providers (ISP) on
payment of a monthly fee. Some of the ISPs are BSNL

(Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited), Jio, Airtel, Vodafone
Idea, etc.

Web Browser: A web
browser is a software used to

open various web pages and
fetch or retrieve information

Microsoft Mozilla Google Safari from the World Wide Web.
Edge Firefox Chrome Some of the most commonly
used web browsers are:

Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari.

Name of the first web browser

Computer System: It is an integrated system with all the

different types of input, output, processing and storage
devices.
