A presentation is a sequential display of information using text, graphics, audio, video
and animation. Presentations are widely used at offices, schools, seminars, etc. to
express and explain ideas to a group of people. Some common presentation software
includes LibreOffice Impress, PowerPoint, Apple Keynote, etc. In this chapter, we
will learn about LibreOffice Impress.
LibreOffice Impress is a part of LibreOffice Suite. It allows us to create an attractive,
eye-catching and a professional presentation. We can add many exciting effects like
audios, videos, pictures, charts, etc. to our presentation.
STARTING LIBREOFFICE IMPRESS
To start LibreOffice Impress, follow the steps given below:
2 Click on the LibreOffice
Impress.
1 Type LibreOffice Impress
in search box on the taskbar.
The LibreOffice Impress application window opens with the Select a Template dialog box.
3 Click on the
Close button.
An empty presentation is created in LibreOffice Impress.
