In the previous chapter, you learnt how to open LibreOffice Calc, how to enter data and
how to work with sheets. Now that you know the basics, you’re ready to explore its features
in more depth. In this chapter, you will learn more about LibreOffice Calc.

                            SELECTING A RANGE OF CELLS

Let us learn how to select a range of cells.

                  SELECTING A CELL
To select a cell, click on the cell. It will become the active

cell and a thick border appears around it. You can also
use the arrow keys to move and change the active cell.

                  SELECTING A ROW

Click here to select an entire row entire column
To select a row, click on the row header of the row you want to
select. The entire row will be selected.

                  Or

Press Shift + Spacebar on the keyboard to select the entire row.

                  SELECTING A COLUMN

To select a column, click on the column header of the column you
want to select. The entire column will be selected.

                  Or
Press Ctrl + Spacebar on the keyboard to select the entire column.

                  RANGE OF CELLS

You might want to select more than one cell at a time
to perform a certain task. When you select more than
one cell, these contiguous (adjoining/connected) cells
                  form a range.
