EDITING CELL CONTENTS
After entering the data in the cells, we can edit the data entered in the spreadsheet.
Cell contents can be edited in two ways.
REPLACING THE TEXT
Replacing the text means overwriting the data. The current content will be replaced by the
new entry. For this, we need to select the cell that we want to edit and then type the new
text to replace the old one.
MODIFYING THE TEXT
Modifying the text means correcting or modifying the content of the text without completely
replacing the text. We can modify the text in one of the three following ways:
Select the cell and press the F2 key on the keyboard. The cursor appears in the cell and we
can begin to edit the content.
Double-click on the cell. It will make the cursor appear on the screen and then you can edit
the text.
Select the cell and then click on the formula bar to edit the text.
UNDO AND REDO COMMANDS
LibreOffice Calc provides the feature of reversing the last action. We use the Undo command
to reverse any action performed. To Undo, click on the Undo button in the Standard
toolbar. If you wish to Undo multiple actions, click the down arrow next to the Undo button
and select the actions to reverse.
The Redo command is used to redo the last Undo action. The Redo command works only
after an Undo action has been performed. The Redo button on the Standard toolbar remains
inactive until an Undo command is given. To redo an action, click on the Redo button
in the Standard toolbar.
