CATEGORIES OF APPS


                 There are a lot of categories and sub-categories of available apps in the Google Play Store and
                 Apple App Store. These stores contain different types of apps which are further categorised into
                 various categories.



                      PURE       Currently, there are 32 app categories in the Google Play Store and 24 in the Apple
                      FACT       App Store.





                 EDUCATIONAL APPS

                 Educational apps are specially designed for children to make the teaching-learning process
                 more interactive. Children can learn in a play way method by playing educational game apps.
                 Educational apps are also helpful for teachers to organise the classes and
                 various tools required to teach students. Examples of educational apps are
                 Duolingo, SoloLearn, PhotoMath, Khan Academy, Learn English Grammar,
                 Vedantu, etc.

                 LIFESTYLE APPS

                 Lifestyle  apps  are sub-categorised  into  several types  such as  fitness, food, travel,  health,
                 leisure, etc. They make your travel easier, more comfortable, and fun without getting too worried
                 about what you are going to eat while on travel. You can even book a table at your favourite
                 restaurant.  These apps  also  track  your  fitness  and give
                 suggestions to improve your lifestyle. Examples of lifestyle apps
                 are Google Maps, MakeMyTrip, Uber, Ola, etc.

                 SOCIAL MEDIA APPS

                 Social media apps are the medium to connect with the people inside or outside their social circle
                 who share similar personal or professional interests. We can keep track of what is going on in the
                 lives of our family and friends. We can share live videos, post
                 images, and start conversation using these apps. Examples of
                 social media apps are Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+, X (formerly
                 known as Twitter), etc.
