Plotter: A plotter is a type of printer that draws high-quality
images on a very large sheet of paper. They are used by
engineers, architects, scientists and designers.

STORAGE DEVICES
The devices that are used to store data or information are called storage devices.
We can store songs, pictures, games, videos and many other forms of data on them.
The most commonly used storage devices are:
Hard disk: A hard disk is the main storage device fixed inside
the CPU box. It stores the largest amount of data as compared
to other storage devices.

Compact Disc or CD: A compact disc or CD is a flat, circular piece of
plastic with a shiny surface on one side. It stores less amount of data.

Digital Versatile Disc or DVD: A digital versatile disc looks like a CD
but can store six times more data than a CD.

Pen drive: A pen drive is a very small and a light portable device
that can store and transfer data from one computer to another.
A pen drive can store more data than a CD or DVD. It is also

The first hard disk was introduced by IBM. It could store one MP3 song PURE

A computer hardware has numerous features, but it cannot perform a task until
certain instructions are given to it. Hardware needs step-by-step instructions
to perform a task. A set of instructions given to the computer to perform
specific tasks is called a Program. A collection of programs is called a Software.
