A presentation is a sequential display of information using text, graphics,
audio, video and animation. Presentations are widely used at offices, schools,
seminars, etc., to express and explain ideas to a group of people. Some common
presentation software includes PowerPoint, OpenOffice Impress, Apple
Keynote, etc. In this chapter, we will learn about PowerPoint 2021.

PowerPoint 2021 is an application software developed by Microsoft. It allows
us to create an attractive, eye-catching and a professional presentation. We
can add many exciting effects like audios, videos, pictures, charts, etc., to our
presentation.

STARTING POWERPOINT 2021

To start PowerPoint 2021, follow the steps given below:

3 Click on Blank Presentation
to start a new presentation.

2 Click on PowerPoint
or PowerPoint 2021.

1 Type PowerPoint
in Search box on
the taskbar.

COMPONENTS OF POWERPOINT 2021 WINDOW

PowerPoint 2021 window consists of the following components:
Title Bar: It is present on the top of the PowerPoint window. It displays the name of

the presentation you are working on. On the right of the Title bar, there are three
buttons: Minimize button, Maximize/Restore Down button and Close button.

Quick Access Toolbar: It provides shortcuts to commonly used commands like
Save, Undo and Redo. It also contains one more button, the Start From Beginning

button, which is used to start a slide show.
