Status Bar View Buttons

Ribbon: It is a wide band located below the Title bar. It displays groups of related
commands in tabs. Each tab offers shortcut buttons to common tasks.

Slide Pane: It is located on the left side of the main working area. It displays the
thumbnails of all the slides we are working on.

Slide: It is an individual page that contains information about the presentation

topic.

Status Bar: It is located at the bottom of the PowerPoint window. It provides
details like the current slide number and the total number of slides in the
presentation. The View buttons and the Zoom slider are present on the right

side of the Status bar.

View Buttons: There are four types of View buttons located on the Status bar.
The four options for viewing are:

Slide Sorter View

Normal view Slide Show view

Reading View

The default view in a presentation is Normal View.

Placeholder: A placeholder is a dotted box on a slide that may contain text,
pictures, video, etc.
