In the previous class, we learnt how to make slides in PowerPoint. In this chapter, we will
learn PowerPoint is a visual software that lets you add multimedia, graphics, animations
and slide transitions to make presentations more interesting. This chapter also covers

advanced features like audio, video, tables and master slides to make ideas clearer and
more engaging.

USING TEMPLATES

PowerPoint provides us a quick way to create a presentation using templates. Templates
are well-developed presentations that contain layouts, theme colours, fonts, effects,
background styles and samples for the content. We can replace these with our texts,

graphics, charts, tables and multimedia.
To use a template in a presentation, follow the given steps:

2 Click on 3 Type a keyword in the search box.
New option. (Here, we use keyword school)

4 Click on
Search icon.
1 Click on the
File tab.
5 Select the
template you
like.

6 Click on Create
option.

Tick ( ) if you know this.
▶ Templates contain layouts, theme colours, fonts, effects and background style.

▶ We can apply textured background to our presentation.
