Computers have brought a great revolution. We can transfer any information in form of text,
pictures, audio and videos within a second. Around the world, hundreds and thousands of

computers are connected with each other through the Internet and our family and friends
are just a click away from us. All this is possible due to networking otherwise information
would have taken days to reach us now which can be heard in seconds.

A network can be defined as a group of two or more computers linked together. These
computers are connected together through wires, satellites and various other ways.

it is made up of many small, medium and large networks.

ADVANTAGES OF INTERNET

Following are the advantages of the Internet:

We can communicate with our friends through e-mails,
social networking websites and chats.

We can get information on any topic.

We can buy products on the Internet.

We can use the Internet to promote and sell our products.
We can have access to online classes while sitting at home and enhance our knowledge.

We can listen to music, watch movies and play games on the Internet.

DISADVANTAGES OF INTERNET

The use of the Internet has grown tremendously over the past few years and it has become
an important part of our everyday lives. We know that the Internet comes with many
benefits, but it has some drawbacks as well. The following are the disadvantages of the
Internet:

People are so involved with making friends and playing games on the Internet that they
have stopped giving time to their family and friends, so much so that there is no direct
connection with family and friends.

We have started to depend on the information available on the Internet so much that
we have lost the creative part of ourselves. Instead of relying upon books, we prefer
searching for information on the Internet that cannot be hundred percent accurate.
