CREATING A NEW WORKBOOK
To create a new workbook, the steps are as follows:
2 Click on New option
and then select Blank
workbook.
1 Click on the File tab.
3 Click and
start typing.

ENTERING DATA IN THE WORKSHEET
We may enter data in the form of numbers or text. Excel automatically left-aligns the text
data and right-aligns the numbers in a cell.
To enter data in a worksheet:
Open a blank worksheet. Click on the cell where you
want to enter data. Type the data.
Press the Enter key to enter the data. Press the Arrow
keys from the keyboard to move in any direction.
