Layers: Used to specify the number of layers in the file. The layers can be added or deleted
while working on the file also.

Background Color: Used to specify the initial background colour of the new file.

Background Opacity: Used to specify the intensity of the background colour.

PURE The CMYK color model defines colours in terms of Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black (Key).
FACT The RGB color model defines colours in terms of Red, Green and Blue.

LAYERS IN KRITA

Layers are transparent sheets that contain various elements of an image and they are stacked
on top of each other so that the individual properties of an object are preserved. They help edit an

object without affecting the other objects.
To work on a particular object, it is essential to first select the layer on which the object has been
added or created.
