Paint is a simple program for drawing and painting on the computer. In the

previous class, you have learnt about drawing different shapes in Paint. In this
chapter, you will learn more features of Paint like copy, paste, flip and rotate.

Selecting an Image

Select command is used to select a
drawing or a part of a drawing. It is Your eyes turn light into signals

mainly used when you want to move your for the brain to make pictures.
Computers do the same with
drawing from one place to another. It
their cameras to create images.
provides two types of selection which
are Rectangular selection and Free-form
selection. Let us learn about them.

Rectangular Selection

It is used to select the drawing in rectangular form as per need. To select the
drawing in rectangular form, follow the given steps:

1 Click on the Home tab. 2 Click on the down arrow, under Select command.

3 Click on the 4 Hold the left button of the mouse and drag over the
Rectangular selection. drawing to select it. Release the left button of the mouse.

Free-Form Selection

It is used to select the drawing in irregular form as per need.
