Have you ever dreamt of creating a computer game?

Now here is your chance to turn it into reality with a Scratch project! In this chapter, you will

learn how to create an advanced game in Scratch with start, play and end states, use variables
to track levels and scores and add increasing difficulty as the game progresses. These features
make games more interactive and engaging.

                 CHARACTERS (SPRITES) AND ROLES

When you open Scratch, the default sprite1 is the cat.
The location of the sprite cat is at the centre of the stage.

Let us add another sprite to the stage.
Step 1: Click on the Choose a Sprite tool in the Sprites
                          Info Pane.
