                 INTRODUCTION TO SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

In 2015, the General Assembly of UN (United Nations) adopted
the 2030 agenda for Sustainable Development that includes 17

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These are based on the
principle of “Leaving none behind”, where it emphasises a holistic
                 approach to achieve SDGs.

The 17 SDGs were laid to transform the world into a better place
to live for everyone. These goals recognise that ending poverty

and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that
improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth, all while tackling
climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests.
