Command Line Interface

This is also known as text based interface. This is mostly used by operating system that allows the user
to type a command line and respond to the user in the same way. The advantages of this interfaces
are many. It is good for expert users as system gives immediate response, it needs the least computer
resources. Disadvantages include the knowledge of commands or languages and is not user friendly.

Touch Sensitive Interface

Touch sensitive interfaces work by the recognising the touch of the user either by a finger or stylus. The
touch is detected by the device and then translated into instructions. It can sense tapping, swiping and
pinching actions.

QWERTY

In 1873, this keyboard was introduced. Perhaps it was
the first text interaction between human and computer.
Christopher Latham Sholes, an American inventor, invented
it.
