Artificial Intelligence is all about creating machines that can think and learn like humans. While it might
seem like a modern invention, the idea of machines being smart has been around for a long time.
In 1956, a group of scientists came together at a summer workshop at Dartmouth College in the United
States. They decided to create a new field of study called Artificial Intelligence. This is where the term
"AI" was first used. Some of the scientists involved in this meeting were John McCarthy, Marvin Minsky,
Nathaniel Rochester and Claude Shannon. They believed that with enough research, machines could
one day think and learn like humans.
