Output Devices

The devices which help us to get the results are called output devices. Some of the commonly
used output devices are monitor, printer, headphones and speakers.

INPUT DEVICES

The devices that are used to give commands or instructions to the computer or tell the computer
what to do are called input devices. Let us study about some of them.

Keyboard

Keyboard is an input device that is used to give instructions to the computer by typing text and
numbers. We type letters, numbers and symbols using a keyboard.

Mouse
Mouse is an input device that sends instructions to the computer with the
click of a button. It is used to draw pictures and for selecting objects on the

computer.

Scanner

Scanner is an input device that is used to send document or images from the
paper to the computer. It works like a photocopier machine.
