Relative References
By default, all cell references in Google Sheets are relative references. This means that when you
copy a formula across different cells, the references will automatically adjust based on their new
position in the sheet.
For example, if you copy a formula with a relative reference from one cell to another, the references
in the formula will change according to the new row or column. This helps keep the calculations
correct, depending on where the formula is copied.
To use relative reference, follow the given steps:
Step 1: Select the cell that contains the formula for the reference of other cells.
Step 2: Move the mouse pointer at the bottom right corner of the cell. The shape of the pointer
will change to + sign.
Step 3: Drag the mouse till the last cell upto which you want to apply the formula.
The formula will be applied to the cells.
