DETAILED FORMATTING OF CHARTS

Detailed formatting of charts in Google Sheets refers to customising the appearance of a chart to

make it clearer and more meaningful. It allows you to edit elements such as the chart title, axis titles,
legend, colours, labels, gridlines and background so that the data is easy to read and understand.
By using detailed formatting options, you can highlight important information and present data in a
neat and effective way.

To format the chart, follow the given steps:

Step 1: Double-click on the chart. A Chart editor window will appear.
Step 2: Click on Customize tab.
Step 3: Select the Chart style option.

Step 4: Click on the drop-down arrow of Background color to change the background of chart.

Step 5: Click on the drop-down arrow of Chart border color to change the border colour of chart.
Step 6: Tick the 3D checkbox to make the chart three dimensional.
