In Loopy, the following tools help you interact with the system map, making it easier to
design and refine your model:

• Pencil tool ( ): The Pencil Tool allows you to draw custom connections or elements
between nodes.

• Text tool ( ): The Text Tool lets you add labels to nodes, arrows, and other parts of

your system map.
• Move tool ( ): The Move Tool helps you rearrange elements (nodes and arrows) on

the canvas.

• Erase tool ( ): The Erase Tool lets you remove elements or connections from your

system map.

Step 3 Click the Pencil tool on the canvas to add new nodes (elements). Label each
node with the name of the component you want to represent.

Step 4 Draw relationships (arrows) between the nodes by clicking and dragging arrows
from one node to another.

Step 5 Label each arrow to indicate the type of relationship. For example: Positive (+)

and Negative (–).
