Adding Transition Effects
Similar to PowerPoint transitions effects which appear when you move to the next slide,
OpenShot transition effects are visual effects that appear when video plays from one video
clip to another. Perform the following steps to add a transition effect on a video:
Drag the desired transition
effect and drop it on top of
the video clip. A blue rounded
rectangle appears over the 2
video in the Timeline.
Click on the Play icon to see 3
the preview.
Click on the Transitions tab. 1
All transition effects appear.
You can change the direction of
the transition effect from left to
right or vice versa by right-clicking
on it in the Timeline and selecting
the Reverse Transition option.
You can remove the applied
transition effect by right-clicking
on it in the Timeline and selecting
the Remove Transition option.
