SMILE-O-METER (USING BUTTONS & LEDS)

The Smile-o-Meter is a fun and creative project made using the Micro:bit. It lets you
show emotions like happiness or sadness on the LED display by pressing buttons.
This simple activity helps you understand how computers take input and give output,

just like how we press buttons on a phone.

Creating a Smile-o-Meter with Micro:bit

In this activity, you will create a simple Smile-o-Meter using the Micro:bit’s buttons
and LED display. By pressing the buttons, you can show different emotions on
the LED display, a smiling face or a sad face. To create a smile-o-meter follow the

given steps:

STEP - 1 Visit the link: https://makecode.microbit.org/ or scan the
QR code.

STEP - 2 Click on the New Project button.

A new Create a Project window will appear.

STEP - 3 Type the project name Smile-o-Meter and then click on the Create

button.

STEP - 4 Drag the on button A pressed block from the Input category in the
workspace.
