Smart Homes and Assistive Robots
AI robots are used in smart homes to perform tasks like cleaning
(robot vacuums), monitoring security and controlling home
automation systems. They can learn user preferences and adjust
                 the environment accordingly.

If a robot avoids a human to
protect itself, is it making an
                                                                  ethical decision?

                 ADVANTAGES AND CHALLENGES

Robots bring numerous benefits to various industries, but their integration also comes with certain
challenges that need to be considered.

                 Advantages of Robots

Robots offer several key advantages that make them valuable assets across different industries:

                 1. Increased efficiency: Robots can work continuously, boosting productivity by completing
                    tasks faster than humans.
                 2. High precision: They can perform tasks with great accuracy, reducing errors in detailed work.

                 3. Safety: Robots operate in hazardous environments, reducing risks to human workers.

                 4. Cost savings: Over time, robots reduce the need for manual labour, cutting costs and
                    improving consistency.
                 5. Versatility: Robots can be reprogrammed for various tasks across multiple industries.

                 Challenges of Robots

Despite their benefits, robots also present several challenges:
                 1. High initial cost: The upfront cost of designing and installing robots can be prohibitive for
                    smaller businesses.

                 2. Limited creativity: Robots lack the ability to think creatively or adapt to unpredictable
                    situations.

                 3. Maintenance and repair: Regular maintenance is needed and breakdowns can be costly.
                 4. Job Displacement: Automation raises concerns about the potential loss of human jobs.

                 5. Dependence on technology: Robots are reliant on software and electricity, meaning system
                    failures can cause disruptions.
