The LED will light up when motion is detected by the PIR sensor. If no motion is detected, the LED
will remain off. This confirms that the sensor is detecting changes in infrared radiation.

If a robot detects a fire in a building,
                                                            should it prioritise alerting humans
                                                               or suppressing the fire itself?

The above virtual task can also be carried out using physical hardware components. Let's perform
                  the same.

                  Materials Required

LED Resistor (220-ohm) Wires Battery PIR Motion Sensor

                  Steps Walkthrough
To build the motion-activated LED circuit, start by connecting the Power (VCC) pin of the PIR
sensor to the positive (+) terminal of the battery. Then, connect the Ground (GND) pin of the PIR
sensor to the negative (-) terminal of the battery. Next, take a 220-ohm resistor and connect one
end to the Signal (OUT) pin of the PIR sensor. The other end of the resistor should be connected
to the anode (+) (positive leg) of the LED. Finally, connect the cathode (-) (negative leg) of the LED
directly to the negative (-) terminal of the battery.
