Event A: The bell rings.
Event B: You enter the classroom.
Event C: You sit at your desk.
Event D: The teacher starts the lesson.
If you put them in the wrong order, for example, sitting at your desk before entering
the classroom, the day would be confusing. Everything needs to be in the correct
order to function properly.
FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS
When we follow instructions in a sequence,
we are following steps in the correct order to
complete a task or activity. Each instruction
helps us know what to do next. If we follow the
instructions correctly, the task is completed
properly. If we don’t, things might not turn out
the way we expect.
Let’s understand some key points to follow
instructions as follows:
Listen carefully: When someone gives you instructions, pay close attention. If
you don’t understand, ask questions before starting.
Follow the steps one by one: Do each step in the order it’s given. If you’re told
to add red paint before blue paint, make sure to use the red paint first.
Check your work: After you’ve followed the steps, check to see if you did
everything correctly. For example, after making a sandwich, check if you added
all the ingredients in the right order.
Example of Following Instructions
Let’s say you are asked to make a paper boat. Here’s how to follow the instructions:
Step 1 Take a piece of paper and fold it in half.
Step 2 Open the paper and fold the top corners down to the centre.
Step 3 Fold the bottom of the paper up.
