Each row represents an individual student's marks and each column represents a
specific attribute — the student’s name and their score.

                  Example 2: Sales Data

A table showing monthly sales data of a product:

Month Units Sold Revenue (in £)

                                     January 500 2,500

                                     February 450 2,250
                                     March 600 3,000

                                     April 700 3,500

Each row represents the sales for a specific month and the columns represent the
number of units sold and the total revenue for that month.

Look at the pattern and choose the correct pair of numbers to fill in the blanks.

                                    8, , 64, 125, 216,

                                            a) 49, 27 b) 27, 49
                                            c) 343, 27 d) 27, 343

               Checkpoint Fill in the blanks.

                      2. data is a type of data is about numbers that we can measure.
                       3. is organised data that makes sense and is useful.

                         4. Table arranges data in and to make it easy to read
                              and understand.

                  BAR AND LINE GRAPHS

Bar graphs and line graphs are two easy ways to represent data visually. They help

us understand and compare information quickly. Each type of graph is used for a
                  different purpose.

                  Bar Graphs

A bar graph is a type of graph that uses rectangular bars to show and compare
data. The height or length of each bar represents the value of each category.
