Understanding Fair Use Respecting Others' Work
AI and Creativity Avoiding Misuse of AI
Giving Credit Ethical Use of Technology

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming a part of daily life, from virtual assistants like
Siri to AI in gaming and even in school projects. However, just like any tool, AI must
be used responsibly. In this chapter, you will explore what it means to use AI fairly,

respect others' work and use technology ethically.

                  UNDERSTANDING FAIR USE

Fair use means you can use parts of things like music,

pictures or writing without asking the creator first. But
this is only okay if you use it for things like school projects,
research or to talk about something. It lets you use other

people’s work in a fair way while still respecting them.

                  The Importance of Fair Use

Fair use allows people to share ideas, use materials for learning and build on the

work of others without breaking any laws. It ensures that everyone can express
themselves, access educational resources and engage in
creativity. Without fair use, it would be difficult for students

and teachers to use valuable information in their work.

                  Examples of Fair Use:

 Using a small part of a song for a school project

 Quoting an author in a book report

 Sharing a news article that’s publicly available
