Shopping: Watching for sales, tracking when grocery stores
restock items and planning shopping trips based on these patterns
is part of how we organise our purchases. Some people may follow
a shopping schedule, such as buying fresh produce at the start of
the week or looking for discounts at the end of the month.
Chores: Daily tasks like doing homework, tidying
up and maintaining a healthy lifestyle often
require repetitive actions. These chores help keep
our environment organised and ensure we meet
our responsibilities. For example, the routine of
studying for a set period each day or preparing
balanced meals is a way to stay on track with our
goals and maintain a productive lifestyle.
Language: Patterns are also found in language,
especially in songs, poems and storytelling. In
poetry, rhyme schemes like ABAB or AABB create
rhythmic patterns, making the poem more
enjoyable and memorable. Storytelling often
follows a structure with a clear beginning, middle
and end, helping make the story easier to follow
and understand.
Nature: In nature, patterns are everywhere, such as the way leaves grow on a stem, birds
migrate, sunflowers form spiral shapes, snowflakes take on symmetrical, six-sided designs
and the stages of a butterfly’s life from caterpillar to chrysalis and finally to butterfly. These
patterns help us understand the cycles and processes of the natural world, revealing the
beauty and order that exist in nature's design.
