Similarly, when we use the Internet and digital tools, it’s important to act responsibly. Being
mindful, respectful and honest while interacting with technology is called Digital Responsibility.

and the ethical principles that guide our digital behaviour. Let's begin with the importance of using
technology in a responsible manner.

In today’s digital world, technology plays a significant role in our daily lives. Whether it’s a
computer, smartphone or tablet, these tools help us communicate, work, study and entertain
ourselves. However, it is important to use technology responsibly to ensure our safety and to
respect the rights of others. Examples of responsible technology use:

 Students can learn difficult subjects by watching educational videos.
 Families who live in different cities can talk and see each other through video calls.

 A cell phone makes it easy to contact the police or doctors in an emergency.

 Using computers, students can research information for school projects.
 Social media allows people to stay connected with friends and share important moments.

 Tablets can be used to read books or listen to audiobooks, making learning more interactive.
