                 DIGITAL FOOTPRINT
A digital footprint is the information trail that individuals create through their online activities.
Often called a digital shadow or electronic trail, it reflects your interactions and the data gathered
about you, either voluntarily or automatically. Different applications may collect your digital
                 footprint in two distinct ways.

                 Types of Digital Footprints

There are two types of footprint, active and passive.

                 Active Digital Footprints

These are the things you intentionally share online, such as posts, pictures, videos or comments.
For example, when you share a photo on Instagram, write a tweet or comment on a YouTube
video, you are creating an active digital footprint. These actions reflect your personal thoughts,
opinions and experiences and they can often be traced back to you.
