AI is all around us, making machines helpful in our daily lives. They use something called Artificial
Intelligence (AI). AI helps machines become smart and do things like humans, such as listening,
understanding and giving answers. Let’s learn about more Artificial Intelligence.

INTELLIGENCE

Intelligence means the ability to think and understand things clearly. It helps us learn from our past
experiences and use that learning in new situations. It also helps us solve problems by thinking
carefully. Intelligence allows us to adjust when things change around us. In simple words, it is the
ability to learn, think and adapt easily.

Types of Intelligence

Humans possess cognitive abilities to learn, form concepts, understand, apply logic and reason,
including the capability of recognising patterns, comprehend ideas, solve problems, make

decisions, retain information and use language to communicate.
According to the Harvard psychologist Howard Gardner's theories, humans do not just have an
intellectual capacity but also many kinds of intelligence. A person can be strong in a specific area,

such as logical intelligence or musical intelligence but simultaneously can also possess a range of
abilities.
There are multiple types of intelligence according to Howard Gardner:

Visual-Spatial Intelligence
These people possess the following qualities:

 Love reading and writing  Love drawing and painting
 Visualise things easily  Recognise patterns easily
 Good at putting puzzles together
