Applications of Computer Vision

Computer vision can be used for the following applications:

 Face unlock: Face unlock is a computer vision application that identifies
a user by analysing facial features captured by a camera. It compares
live images with stored facial data to verify identity. This method
improves security and convenience, allowing quick access to
smartphones, laptops and secure systems without requiring passwords
or PINs codes or authentication steps instantly.

 Autonomous vehicles: Autonomous vehicles use computer vision to
interpret surroundings through cameras and sensors. They detect
lanes, traffic signs, pedestrians and obstacles to make driving

decisions. This technology enables safe navigation without human
input. It continuously processes real-time data to adjust speed,
direction and braking for efficient and secure transportation on
roads in real environments safely.

 Medical imaging: Medical imaging uses computer vision to analyse
scans such as X-rays, CT scans and MRIs. It helps doctors detect
diseases, tumors, fractures and abnormalities with higher accuracy.
AI models enhance diagnostic speed and reduce human error,
supporting early detection and treatment planning in hospitals and
clinical healthcare environments for patients with improved outcomes
