                     Accountability and Human Control

In the previous chapters, you learned how Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems collect data, identify
patterns and make predictions. You also understood that AI has become an essential part of
modern life. It is widely used in areas such as education, healthcare, business, transportation,
entertainment and communication. From voice assistants and recommendation systems to
smart devices and automated services, AI continues to influence the way we live and work.

As Artificial Intelligence becomes more powerful and widely used, it also raises an important
                  question:

How should Artificial Intelligence be developed and used responsibly?

Responsible Artificial Intelligence refers to designing, developing and using AI systems in a manner
that is fair, safe, reliable, transparent and beneficial for society. It ensures that AI technologies are
used to support human well-being and promote positive outcomes.

Technology does not exist independently. It directly affects individuals, communities and society
as a whole. Decisions made by AI systems can influence opportunities, services, employment,
education and even people's lives. Therefore, it is important that Artificial Intelligence is guided by
                  ethical values and responsible practices.

Before we move forward, it is helpful to reflect on a few important questions. These questions
encourage us to think critically about the role of Artificial Intelligence in our daily lives. By
considering these questions, we can develop a deeper understanding of responsible AI use and its
impact on individuals and society. These questions are as follows:

 What do we understand by AI ethics?
 Why is privacy significant in the digital world?

 In what ways can bias influence AI decisions?

 What is misinformation and why does it spread so quickly?
 Who should be held responsible when AI systems make mistakes?
