HOW DOES A COMPUTER WORK?
A computer is a smart machine that helps you do many different things, but it
cannot work by itself. You need to give it commands or instructions to make it
work. Here's how it works:
Input: You tell the computer what to do by
using a keyboard, mouse or by touching the
screen. This is called input.
Processing: After receiving instructions, it uses its brain
called a CPU (Central Processing Unit), to understand what
to do next. This is called processing.
Storage: The computer has a place to store
things, like pictures, music and games so that
you can use them later. This place is called
storage.
Output: Once the computer finishes processing, it
displays the results on the monitor. This is called
output.
So, the computer listens, thinks, remembers
and shows what you asked for. The world’s slimmest laptop, the
Huawei MateBook Fold, is only
0.29 inches thick.
